As multiple sclerosis is a broad and complex disease, current research are being undertaken in many possible areas which may include the immune system, myelin repair and growth, viruses, genetics and so on. Already, in the past 10 – 15 years, research has managed to generate abundant amounts of knowledge about multiple sclerosis and this knowledge is continuously increasing by the day. It is estimated that 7 documents about the possible cures for multiple sclerosis is being generated each day which means over 2000 documents about multiple sclerosis is being published each year. The associations contributing to these discoveries include ‘MS Society of Canada’, ‘International Federation of MS’ and many more. The ‘Federation of MS Societies’ for example, constantly updates a loose-leaf publication which outlines their helpful findings. It discusses recent or possible treatments which may positively impact the multiple sclerosis society. The knowledge built up had so far concluded many possible treatments for multiple sclerosis and some are yet to be discovered.
