Primary Progressive MS is common in approximately 12% of multiple sclerosis sufferers who are in their forties or fifties and the condition usually worsens as time passes. Walking and other simple motor problems are experienced by people with this type of multiple sclerosis and they often require intensive treatment. The probability of which gender may receive this type of multiple sclerosis is even, unlike relapsing-remitting MS where women are more likely to receive it than men. Especially since this condition becomes worse during time, it is vital that the sufferer seeks medical attention immediately. Unlike some other types of multiple sclerosis, the symptom this type poses does not strike suddenly.
