Currently, a technique exists which can identify diseases which affected the tissues is called ‘Magnetic Resonance Imaging’. It captures images of tissues in the body’s central nervous system and distinguishes abnormal ones from ordinary and healthy tissues. This type of imaging is capable of identifying the slightest area of demyelination without the need of x-rays. This process involves the usage of large magnets and radio signals to locate affected areas. This type of test is considered the most effective way to distinguish the problems of multiple sclerosis however, in 5% of cases; this test does not detect ‘all’affected areas.
